Looks like some lucky person was able to get their hands on Sony Ericsson’s latest 12MP monster, had a photo shoot, and ran it through a benchmark test all before Sony could announce it next week at CES. ITProPortal gets all the credit for unearthing all of these great photos and benchmark results of the soon to be public, Sony Xperia HD.
We have seen a lot of rumors and leaks surrounding this device lately so the images you see aren’t anything groundbreaking, but definitely are cool. We are now hearing that the device is dubbed the Sony Xperia HD and not the Xperia Arc HD (Nozomi) as rumored before. A few specs have been confirmed including an HD 720 x 1280 screen, Android 2.3.7, a 1.5GHZ dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and a whopping 12MP camera. The device pictured only comes with 8GB of internal storage as well as no support for a microSD card – no telling whether the production units will have the same configuration. Also, the device uses a microSIM card just like the DROID RAZR.
Whom ever is responsible for taking these shots also did us all a favor by running a benchmark test with results that seem to be pretty damn good. Keep in mind the quadrant test that was ran only shows a single core in action during capture. Not to shabby.
