How to Unroot your HTC Sensation 4G

So you want to take your HTC Sensation 4G in for warranty work, or you want to see it, or well it doesn’t matter why you want to unroot you just want to know how to unroot it right? Well I am here to help! Just follow the steps below and in a short matter of time – about 10-15 minutes – your Sensation will be just like it was when you got it from T-Mobile.

Disclaimer: Android Authority is not responsible for any damage done to your HTC Sensation 4G.

You will need to download the following:

Android SDK (you’ll want the .exe version for windows)Latest RUU (based on your carrier) you’ll want the one with the highest number, that will be the most up-to-date RUU.

Now let’s get started:

You will need to set up the ADB Server (if you do not know how to do this The Unlockr has put together a very nice tutorial)You will need to start the RUU (ROM Update Utility) that you downloaded above.Just follow the prompts in the RUU and it will update your Sensation to Stock 2.3.4 with Stock Recovery and bootloader, and of course it will be unrooted.

Wasn’t that simple? Ok, maybe not simple but once you downloaded all the necessary pre-requisites it went pretty fast. I just did this on my very own HTC Sensation 4G (On T-Mobile US) and it worked perfectly, couldn’t have really asked for an easier method, other then one-click unroot of course.
